Use this Wedding Planning checklist as a guide and a tool in helping you with your wedding plans.

Your Engagement

  • Select location for engagement announcement
  • Choose attendants (to be announced at engagement celebration)

6 - 12 Months Prior to Wedding

  • Select a wedding consultant/planner
  • Reserve location and time for both the ceremony and reception
  • Reserve location and Time of reception
  • Purchase your wedding gown
  • Decide upon bridesmaid gown & accessories
  • Reserve photographer, videographer and musicians for ceremony
  • Secure musicians or DJ for reception
  • Reserve florist
  • Research and obtain a caterer
  • Reserve decorations: linens (tablecloths, napkins, chair covers, etc.)
  • Chose and select vendor for other rentals needed for wedding/reception site
  • Select make-up artist & hairdresser
  • Select men's formal wear
  • Hire a travel agent and destination for honeymoon
  • Select wedding cake
  • Sign up with several companies for your bridal registry

2 - 6 Months Prior to Wedding

  • Select & order invitations
  • Order wedding favors
  • Coordinate rehearsal dinner
  • Schedule time to obtain marriage license
  • Mail invitations
  • Send out "save the date" cards

1 Month Prior to Wedding

  • Schedule make-up artist & hairdresser
  • Schedule appointment for your pedi and manicure

1 - 2 Weeks Prior to Wedding

  • Review reception seating & prepare place cards
  • Confirm final arrangements with vendors
  • Relax
